Adam Garcia

Adam Garcia, 77, a longtime resident of Rochester, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Rochester, Texas. Officiating will be Rev. Brad Wilkinson. Burial will follow the service at the Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, Texas.

Adam was born May 30, 1947 in Edinburg, Texas to Juanita (Barrios) and Cruz Garcia. He liked barbecuing, especially for Rosie. He liked to go to garage sales with Michelle. He also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Isabel Garcia of Rochester, Texas; 6 sons, Ignacio C. Ortiz, Jr. and wife Rosie of Big Lake, Texas, Felix C. Ortiz of Kermit, Texas, Paul Ortiz of Hamlin, Texas, Robert Ortiz of Stamford, Texas, Adam Garcia, Jr. and Paula of Haskell, Texas, Paul Garcia of Abilene, Texas; 2 daughters, Jessica Hernandez Ortiz and Carlos of Florida, Paula Hernandez of Knox City, Texas; brother, Reynaldo Garcia and Isabell of Anson, Texas; 2 sisters, Francis Rodriguez of Haskell, Texas, Mary Villareal of Haskell, Texas; numerous grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Cruz Garcia; brother, Cruz Garcia; daughter, Michelle Santillan; and son, Dusty Garcia.
