Alejandrina Rocha

Alejandrina Rocha, 83, of O'Brien, Texas passed away at her home on Sunday, April 10, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City, Texas with Father John Cerikomabyii officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the services at O'Brien Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A Rosary is planned for Tuesday evening, April 12, at 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home, located at 210 Avenue A, Knox City, Texas.

Alejandrina was born on October 1, 1932, in Santa Rita Sombrerete, Zacatecas Mexico to Andres Rodriguez and Amanda (Salas) Rodriguez. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, crocheting, quilting, and taking care of her yard and family. She was a member of the Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City, Texas.

Alejandrina is survived by her eight sons, Johnny Rocha and wife MaryAnn of Abilene, Texas, Mague Rocha of Bridgeport, Texas, Jaime Rocha and wife Ida of Abilene, Texas, Max Rocha and wife Cheryle of Findlay, Ohio, Arturo Rocha and wife Judy of Abilene Texas, Joe Rocha, Jr. and wife Melissa of Abilene, Texas, George Rocha of Abilene, Texas, and Harvey Rocha and wife Nora of Abilene, Texas; four daughters, Rosa Richardson of Fort Worth, Texas, Gracie Matlock and husband Chuck of Windthorst, Texas, Adela Gutierrez and husband Rick of Breckenridge, Texas and Estella Baxter and husband Matt of O'Brien, Texas; 30 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, José Rocha; son, Oscar Rocha; daughter, Veronica Rocha; and son, "Baby" Rocha.
