Alice Lee

Alice Lee, 99, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024. A graveside will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Rochester Cemetery with Joseph Logsdon officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rochester.

Alice was born in Westerbeck, Germany to Martha (Turowski) and Arthur Grigsdat. She married Bill Lee on January 27, 1955 in Germany. Bill was the love of her life. She called him "Billsha".  She loved being outside, doing yard work and spending time with her animals. She loved her dog "Prince". She also loved horses. Alice attended the First Baptist Church in Rochester, Texas.

She is survived by her Heart-daughter, Donna Byrd and husband Hank of Rochester, Texas; Heart-grandchildren, Ryan and Cody Byrd; special friends, Romaine Stubbs, Linda Short, and Karen Byrd; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends in the Rochester area.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Arthur Grigsdat; husband, Bill Lee; brother, Gerhard Grigsdat; sister, Edith Grigsdat.
