Allen Chesnut, 50, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Willow Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Tarvin officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Friday, December 6, 2019 at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd Street, Haskell, TX.
Allen was born December 2, 1969 in Ft. Benning, Georgia, to Dorothy (Isbell) and Douglas Allen Chesnut, Sr. He married Alex (Edwards) on September 28, 2012 in Greenwood, TX. Allen grew up in Haskell and lived here on and off. He enjoyed fishing and hunting arrowheads. He loved to tinker around with things.
He is survived by his wife, Alex Chesnut of Haskell; two sons, Aarron Chesnut and wife Kathryn of Oklahoma City, and Zachary Chesnut and wife Heather of Ft. Worth; daughter, Brandy Chesnut of Midland; father, Douglas Allen Chesnut, Sr. of Midland; grandfather, Jack Isbell of Haskell; 10 grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers, Jason Chesnut, Anthony Chesnut and wife Pam, and Jackie Chesnut and wife Deanna all of Midland; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Isbell Chesnut.
