Allene (Brown) Wilson

Allene (Brown) Wilson, 91, a longtime resident of Rule, TX, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, Rule with Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Burial will follow services at the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rule. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the funeral home, 600 Robins Ave., Rule, TX.

Allene was born July 2, 1927 in Lamar Co., TX, to Mary (Johnston) and Vernie Brown. She married Ruric Nevel Wilson on January 18, 1947 in Stamford, TX. Allene enjoyed painting china, playing Bridge, cooking and watching Hallmark movies. She especially loved listening to the Bible on tape and she was a prayer warrior.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pam Heezen of Haskell, and Debbie Tanner and husband Kenny of Rule; son, Jack Wilson and wife Suzie of Olney; grandson, Jason Tanner and wife Amy; step-grandson, Toby Dennis; three granddaughters, Kenna West and husband Brian, Denise Decker and husband Lee, and Deborah Louder and husband Jay; three step-granddaughters, Stacy Hopson and husband Keith, Deiann Davis and husband Gaylon, and May Heezen; nine great grandchildren, Braden, Avery, Dylan, Madison, Molly, Taylor, Tanna, Jacob, and Reagan; four step-great grandchildren, Casen, Trevor, Kolton, and Kyle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (Johnston) Brown; father, Vernie John Brown; husband, Ruric Nevel Wilson; two brothers, Ray Brown, and Earl Brown; and son-in-law, Greg Heezen.
