Andres Hernandez

Andres F. Hernandez, 72, of Rochester TX, passed away peacefully on July 2nd 2026.

Born in 1954, in Stanton TX, Andres worked as a farmer and Cotton Gin worker for most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends; he enjoyed music, singing, and playing the accordion.

Andres is survived by his children, daughter Amanda Santiago and husband Chimmy of Waco TX, son Abel Hernandez and wife Jessica of Haskell TX, and daughter Falicia Hernandez of Austin TX. Siblings Maggie Delacrize of Vernon TX, Janie Carillo of Hondo TX, Lupe Lomeli of Rochester TX, and Robert Hernandez of Rochester TX. 11 grandkids and 6 great grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Carmen Hernandez, and his siblings Maria Leal, Gloria Sosa, and Ruben Hernandez.

A viewing will be held on July 8th 2026 at 6pm until 7pm at Smith Funeral home in Rochester TX. A dinner in his honor will follow after at Rochester Fire Hall.
