Anna T. Jeffcoat

Anna T. Jeffcoat, 91, of Haskell, TX passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, in Stamford. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the Paint Creek Baptist Church, Paint Creek. Burial will follow at Howard Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016, at the funeral home.

Anna was born January 18, 1925, in Ardmore, OK to Nora Pearl (Carter) and John James Bryant. She married J.W. Jeffcoat June 1, 1940, in Pettit, TX. She lived in Haskell 49 years and was a member of Paint Creek Baptist Church. Anna and her husband owned and operated Lakeshore Sites at Lake Stamford. She enjoyed walking, reading, gardening, fishing, and painting with oil and watercolors.

She is survived by three sons, James Jeffcoat and wife Janie of Haskell, Leon Jeffcoat and wife Patricia of Midland, and Rodger Jeffcoat of Haskell; daughter-in-law, Debbie Jeffcoat of Ranger; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, Larry Jeffcoat; five sisters and a brother.
