Arturo Thomas Barrios

Arturo Thomas Barrios, 64, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00a.m., Friday, June 19, 2020 at the St. George Catholic Church, Haskell with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial will follow services at Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A Rosary is planned for 7:00p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020, at the St. George Catholic Church, 901 N. 16th St., Haskell, TX.

Arturo was born December 11, 1955 in Knox City, TX, to Longina and Rufus Barrios. He married Mary Felís (Rodriquez) September 20, 1975 in Haskell, TX where they enjoyed a happy 44 years of marriage. Arturo enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. The highlight of his life was watching his grandkids play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Barrios of Haskell; daughter, Veronica Taylor and husband Billy Ray of Haskell; two grandsons, Devon Barrios, Billy Taylor III both of Haskell; granddaughter, Nakebra Taylor of Haskell; great-granddaughter, Kynslee Barrios of Benjamin; brother, Ismael Barrios of Houston; two sisters, Oralia Allen of Ft. Worth, Bertha Cortez of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Longina and Rufus Barrios; brother, Renee Barrios; and two sisters, Hope Rocha and Rebecca Gonzalez.
