Audie Junior McMarion Stocks Haskell, TX. Graveside services for Audie Junior McMarion Stocks, 82, lifelong resident of Haskell, will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Willow Cemetery in Haskell, Texas. Visitation is planned for Wednesday evening, June 1, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Haskell located at 304 North Second Street. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Mr. Stocks passed away peacefully Monday, May 30, 2016, in an Abilene hospital.
Born August 8, 1933, in Haskell, Texas, he was the son of Audie E. and Lydia Dake Stocks. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Wanda Ruth Cook June 23, 1956 in Stamford. She preceded him in death July 29, 2006. He was employed by West Texas Utilities as a mechanic in 1957 and worked at the Paint Creek Power Plant, retiring in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was a Little League coach and member of East Side Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa and Randy Shaw of Haskell; sons, Danny and Tamara Stocks of Hughes Springs and Phillip and Joyce Stocks of Robinson; grandchildren, Jason and Sara Shaw of Abilene and sons, Seth and Max; A.J. and Sarah Shaw of Haskell and son, Audie; Stephanie and David Boatman of Claremore, Oklahoma and daughters, Natyleigh and Brooklynn; Joshua and Sara Stocks of Owasso, Oklahoma and sons, Kyle and Tyler and daughter, Ava; Savannah Elkins of Hughes Springs, Aaron and Kara Loftin of Seymour and Lane and Chelsea Loftin of Mount Pleasant; Justin and Jess Stocks of Robinson and sons, Noah and Jonah; Brandon Butts of Robinson; brothers, Dean and DeeAnn Stocks of Arlington, J.D. and Karen Stocks of Grandfalls and Jerry and Betty Stocks of Haskell.
