Betty Christine Bruton

Betty Christine Bruton, 70, of Haskell, Texas passed away at a local hospital on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. A memorial graveside will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Betty was born on January 9, 1946, in Stamford, Texas to Robert O. Bruton and Christine (Wells) Bruton. She has lived in Haskell, Texas since 1997. She graduated from college and received a Masters Degree as a Counselor. She worked in the Saginaw School District for nearly 30 years. She enjoyed reading, movies, and taking care of her dogs.

Betty is survived by her uncle, Wayne Wells of Haskell, Texas; aunt, Doris Wells of Trent, Texas; cousins, Jeffery Wells and Billy Wells both of Trent, Texas, Debra Wells of Dallas, Texas, Linda McDaniel of Frisco, Texas and Charlie Wells of Paint Creek, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert O. Bruton and Christine (Wells) Bruton.
