Betty J. Davis, longtime resident of Haskell, Texas passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Mrs. Davis was 82. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Betty was born July 15, 1930 and married Tommy Richard Davis on August 24, 1951 in Raymondville, Texas. She received her Master's Degree in counseling and Betty served as a teacher for many years in Abilene, Odessa, and Haskell. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Haskell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Richard Davis; her son, Thomas Wayne Davis; and her parents.
Betty is survived by a sister in law, Catherine Davis Schultz and husband William; aunt, Anita Paden of Raymondville, Texas; nephew, Phil Thomas Schultz of College Station; niece, Gail Bass; cousin, Charles Chapman of Abilene; and other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
