Bettie Ruth Landreth, lifelong resident of Rule, Texas passed away early Friday morning, May 30, 2014, at Haskell Healthcare Center in Haskell, Texas. Mrs. Landreth was 83. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2014, at Rule Cemetery in Rule with Matt Harrington officiating.
Bettie Ruth Hennigan was born April 16, 1931 in Haskell to Erlene (Roper) and F.J. Hennigan. She married Albert Lee Landreth in Knox County on July 28, 1948. Bettie was retired from the Rule ISD where she worked in the school cafeteria. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Rule.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee; and her parents, Erlene and F.J. Hennigan.
Bettie is survived by her son, Dwayne Landreth and wife Cindy of Rule; 3 daughters, Sherrie Jernigan and husband Ronnie of Hamlin, Texas, Linda Jones of San Angelo, Texas, and Janet Brannan and husband Gary of Rule, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorials can be given in Bettie's name to Hendrick Hospice, 1682 Hickory St, Abilene, TX 79601.
