Billie Ray Morrow, 79, resident of O'Brien, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the O'Brien Baptist Church in O'Brien with Pastor Jamie Burrus officiating. Burial will be at Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes of Knox City. Visitation is planned for Monday evening, July 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Knox City.
Billie Ray was born in Grow, Texas on November 4, 1932 to Bealie C. and Annie Nancy (Sanderford) Morrow. He was a professional cowboy and a horseshoer. Billie Ray was a member of the Guthrie Church in Guthrie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bealie and Annie Morrow; and his wife, Sharon Dawn (Underwood) Morrow.
Billie Ray is survived by his son, Jackie Ray Morrow and wife Gail of Old Glory, Texas; a daughter, Johnnie Faye Ford and husband Jerry Wooldridge of Graham, Texas; sister, Delthie Wilt of Paris, Texas; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Don Ballard, Wayne Quales, Jerry Miller, John Taylor, Roy Rodriguez, and Sonny Correll.
