Billy Louise Hensley

Billy Louise (Chalker) Hensley, 93, passed away December 15, 2015 at the Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Throckmorton, Texas with Mr. Silas Short officiating. Burial will take place at the Plum Branch Cemetery in Eolian, Texas under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Louise was born July 17, 1922, in Breckenridge, Texas to Oland Cleveland Chalker and Dora Lavenia (Harris) Chalker. She was a longtime resident of Throckmorton and a member of the Church of Christ. Louise married James Hensley on March 8, 1954. Louise loved to embroidery, cook, gardening, and reading the bible. She was an excellent artist.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oland Cleveland Chalker and Dora Lavenia (Harris) Chalker; husband, James Hensley; sister, Imogene Hale; niece, Sherry Warren; two nephews, Luther Oland Hale and Charles Buck Hale; great-nephew, Mike Hale; and great-niece, Jackie Sue Yarbrough.

Louise is survived by her 4 nieces, Tracey Lea Thornhill, Reggie Silvey, Lavern Hale Butler and Audrie Harbert; seven great-nephews, Kylee Thornhill, Kobie Thornhill, Kamron Thornhill, Kabel Thornhill, Tuck Silvey, Clint Hale and Jason Hale; great-niece by marriage Terri Hale; and numerous great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
