Bobbie Farrington Meinzer

Bobbie Farrington Meinzer, longtime resident of Knox City, Texas, passed away with her family at her side, Thursday afternoon, July 25, 2013 at Stamford Memorial Hospital in Stamford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Knox City with Rev. Paul Chambers officiating. Visitation is planned prior to the service, at the funeral home, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Benjamin Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

One of 5 girls, Bobbie Floyd was born September 7, 1924 in Munday, Texas to Lewis Casey and Agnes (Bell) Floyd. She married Doug Meinzer December 6, 1945 in Haskell. Mrs. Meinzer enjoyed playing buttons and forty-two and she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Agnes Floyd; husband Doug Meinzer; 4 sisters, Irene Floyd, Leta Stubblefield, Ora Lee Hutchinson, Willie Joy Hediger; and her beloved pet, Bo.

Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Judy Logsdon of Cisco, Penny Baker and husband Floyd of Haskell; son Tyke Meinzer and wife Gina of Haskell; granddaughter, Kristi Harrison of Cisco; grandsons, Scott Skiles of Abilene, Tom Skiles of Cisco, Riley Meinzer and Dalton Meinzer of Haskell; 2 great-grandsons, Chris Johnson Skiles of Clyde, and Justin Harrison and his wife Chelsea of Cisco; 2 great-granddaughters, Ariel Smoot of Cross Plains, and Stormy Farmer and husband Tyson of Cisco; and 1 great-great grandson, Stayden Harrison of Cisco; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
