Bobby Rodela, 40, a former resident of Abilene, TX, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at St. George Catholic Church with Father Chaco officiating. A Rosary is planned for 6:00p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. George Catholic Church. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.
Bobby was born October 10, 1977 in Stamford, to Sally Sanchez. He attended Texas A&M University and was a die hard Aggie. He was an artist and enjoyed painting. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Texas Country music. He was loved by all his friends, family, and co-workers. He lived for his niece and nephews.
He is survived by his grandmother, Tina Johnson of Haskell; mother, Sally Sanchez of Abilene; step-father, Raymundo Sanchez of Abilene; two sisters, Bonnie Phillips and husband Ethan of Dallas, and Blythe Boyer and husband Corey of Abilene; two brothers, Johnathan Herrera of Abilene, and Alex Sanchez of Abilene; and many Special Aunts and Uncles that helped raise him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Cecil Vernon Johnson, "Pawpa".
