Bonnie Peysen, 76, a longtime resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Knox City Cemetery with Rev. Rob Harrison officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City. A visitation is planned from 12:00-1:45p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the funeral home, 210 Ave. A., Knox City, TX.
Bonnie was born May 30, 1943 in Knox City, Texas, to Hope (Duncan) and Oather Poe. She married John Peyson, Jr. on October 27, 1976 in Knox City, TX and they enjoyed a long happy marriage. Bonnie enjoyed cooking and looking at recipes on Pinterest. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John Peysen of Knox City; son, Ron Bruce and wife Annie of Knox City; daughter, Rhondi Rodriquez and husband Augustin of Alvarado; two granddaughters, Leilani Trevino and husnband Tommy of Wichita Falls, and Kaley Ainsworth and fiancé Casey Martin of Alvarado; three grandsons, C.J. Bruce and Tabitha Lane of Seymour, Chance Agraz and wife Angel of Weinert; and Zachary Rodriquez and fiancé Jasmine Havens of Knox City; and 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Hope Poe; father, Oather Poe; and daughter, Tammy Denise Bruce.
