Bonnie Tankersley

Bonnie Tankersley, 87, and lifelong resident of Knox City, Texas passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Munday Nursing Center in Munday, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Knox City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Chambers officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Bonnie Snelson was born July 11, 1925 in Knox City to Ben and Anna (Whitten) Snelson. Bonnie married Roy Hershell Tankersley on March 19, 1942 in Knox City. Mr. Tankersley preceded her in death in 1997.
Bonnie loved to paint and she enjoyed working in her yard and keeping it beautiful. She also loved to shop! Bonnie was a housewife and a member of Four Square Baptist Church in Knox City.
Along with her husband, Bonnie is also preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Anna Snelson; and a sister, Barbara Jones.
She is survived by her son, Rick Tankersley of Knox City.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bonnie's name to a charity of your choice.
