Brian Michael Willis

February 15, 1980 — March 10, 2024

Brian Michael Willis, 44, passed away on March 10, 2024.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Weinert, Texas with Dan Bullock officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

He was born on February 15, 1980 in Pasadena, Texas. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1998 and attended classes at Angelina College in Lufkin. Brian proudly served his country in the Navy as an ABE2 on the USS Carl Vinson. He loved being in the Navy and all of the shipmates that he served with.

In 2011 he married the love of his life, Dallas Flewellen. After beginning their life together in Alto, they moved to Lufkin and then to Rochester where they found the life they always wanted and began to build the farm that they had dreamed about in Rule Texas. He was always selfless and wanted to help where he could so he followed his fathers footsteps and joined the Volunteer Fire Department. He was honored to be the treasure of the Rule Volunteer Fire Department for multiple years. He enjoyed helping with the students that Dallas taught by going to events, stock shows, and became a member of the Rule Booster Club.

Brian loved his guns and reloading ammo but he loved his momma more. He would do anything for her and was a real momma's boy with true love and respect for her. He liked hunting and fishing especially with family and friends. He greatly cherished any time that he got to spend with his nephews and nieces. Brian was a true friend with a heart of gold. He was always there to lend an ear and tell you the blunt honest truth.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Michael Willis; Grandparents, Marvin and Joan Bottera; Grandparents, Chuck and Jean Willis.

Brian is survived by his Wife, Dallas Willis; Mother, Diane Willis Hodge and bonus dad Matt Hodge, Brother, Justin Willis and wife Kim; Sister, Kim Carrosco, and husband Art; Sister, Michelle Henson and husband Kendrick; Uncles, Jimmy Bottera, Marvin Bottera, Don Willis and Gary Dunn; Cousins, Amanda Mattox, and husband Jesse, and Chad Mattox and wife Diana; Nephews, Nik Carrosco, Beaux Willis, Landen Henson, and Hunter Henson; Nieces, Mika Hoecker, Gracelyn Willis, Savannah Willis, Mikinze Collins.
