Bruce Noles

Wayland Bruce Noles passed away at his home at the age of 72 year old, on March 24, 2024, in Hagerman, New Mexico. A visitation will be held for family and friends at Smith Family Funeral Homes in Throckmorton, Texas on Thursday, March 28th, 2024 from 6pm to 7pm. A Graveside Service will be at 11:00am on March 29th, 2024 at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton. A Memorial Service will be held in Hagerman, New Mexico, and will be announced at a later date.

Bruce was born on May 19th, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Throckmorton High School in May of 1969. Following high school he was employed in the oil field, upon retirement in 2015 he was employed by Yates Petroleum as a Assistant Drilling Superintendent. Bruce married Gloria Peralta in 2006 and they made their home in Hagerman, NM where he lived until his death. While living in Hagerman he was a EMT-I and volunteered for Hagerman EMS & Hagerman Fire Department for over 25 years. Bruce also served as the Interim Municipal Judge for the City of Hagerman, New Mexico. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Skeet shooting. He loved coming home to Throckmorton to enjoy these activities and visiting with his Father and the other members of his family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his Mother-Modena R. Noles, his Father-Wayland Q. Noles, his maternal grandparents-Huey and Mamie Raper, Paternal Grandparents-Raymond and Vane Noles, 2 neices and 2 nephews.

Bruce is survived by his wife Gloria A. Noles, children Melissa Steen and Justin Noles, bonus children Rick Garza, Chavo Peralto & Eddie Peralto, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Melanie N. Gober and one brother- C. Brent Noles and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He had two Chihauhua's, Blondie and Blackie who were always by his side and never left him through his long illness.
