Carl Jeffery (Jeff) Dormier

Carl Jeffery (Jeff) Dormier passed from this world into the arms of the Lord on April 12, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at New Life Assembly of God in Throckmorton, TX with Pastor Melissa Hudson officiating on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2PM. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025 under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Throckmorton, TX with 6-7PM being an opportunity to express condolences to family.

Jeff was born on February 15, 1970 in Olney, TX to Carla Dormier and Johnnie Dormier. Jeff spent most of his childhood growing up near his beloved grandparents in Goree,TX. He graduated from Goree High School with the Class of 1988. Jeff furthered his education at Vernon College earning the licensure of Registered Nurse. Jeff served as an RN for numerous years in various capacities as he enjoyed caring for and helping others. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goree, TX where he was saved by God and baptized, and had found a new loving church family at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Throckmorton,TX where he regularly attended over the last several years.

Jeff had the most loving heart. Whether it was making and taking a plate of food or purchasing gifts for those in need, Jeff delighted in helping others and seeing them happy. He loved his pets dearly and had a heart to help animals in need. Jeff was known for his witty sense of humor and clever intelligence. He loved to make others laugh and did an unmatched job of it. He adored his siblings and his nieces and nephews and would do absolutely anything for them.

Jeff was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed until the glorious day we meet again.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Carla Dormier and Johnnie Dormier of Throckmorton, TX; sister Susan Dormier of Throckmorton, TX; brother Josh Dormier of La Vernia, TX; sister Sarah Vincent and husband Jarad Vincent of Odessa, TX; nephews Zach Hare, Hudson Hare, Johnnie Dormier; nieces Mati Hare, Evelynn Hare, Addilynn Hare and Wren Vincent. Uncle Kenneth Dormier and aunt Carolyn Dormier. Special dear friend Austin Worley. As well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved.

Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents Carl (Buster) and Francelle Echols, Johnnie and Doris Dormier, and uncles Mike Echols and David Dormier.
