Carla Thomas

Carla Thomas, 66, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, November 9, 2024, at the Eastside Baptist Church in Haskell, Texas. Pastor Dan McBride will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00pm, Friday, November 8, 2024, at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, Texas.

Carla was born on July 25, 1958 in Bridgeport, Texas to Norma Pitts and Lonnie Mills. She loved crocheting, reading, and watching TV shows and movies. She loved everyone and was a mom to all. Carla never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Grant of Haskell, Texas; 2 sons, J.C. Rumbaugh and wife Jackie of Moore, OK., Michael Rumbaugh of Chico, Texas; 2 daughters, Linsey Thomas and husband Chris of Mineral Wells, Texas, Brande Bunte of Salado, Texas;  8 grandchildren, Riley, Savannah, C.J., Justine, Jazlyn, Piper, Sydney, and Lehne.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Lonnie Mills and Norma Shawn; son, Scott Thomas; 3 brothers, James, Howard and Tommy Mills; step-mother, Rose Mary Mills.
