Carol Large

With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Carol Fae Large announces her earthly departure. Carol, 78, arrived peacefully into heavenly eternity on Tuesday, February 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born to Walter & Bessie Clower on September 14, 1946, in Benjamin, TX. After graduating in 1965, she married the love of her life, Glen Dell, of Knox City, Texas. Together, they cherished 59 years of faithful matrimony, a true testament to their devotion to one another.

Carol is survived by the love of her life, Glen; son Robbie and Sara Large of Dean, Texas; daughter Paula and Damacio Dominguez of Abilene, Texas, and her sister, Janie Reid, of Dumas, Texas.

Carol was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her 4 grandchildren Whitney, Lindsey, Joshua and Jeremy and treasured every opportunity to watch her 4 precious great-grandchildren Lauren, Caroline, Hunter and McKenzie grow up.

Her celebration of homecoming services will start Friday with a viewing at Smith Family Funeral Homes in Knox City, 210 Ave. A. from 6-7pm, and conclude Saturday at 10am at the Knox City Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Massey officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. We can imagine the joy on her face when God shows her the fruit of her life lived by faith and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. We will mourn until we see her again but rest in knowing that every promise from her Heavenly Father has now been fulfilled. She is whole, she is healed, and she is now home.
