Carol Lewellen

Carol Lewellen, 73, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Willow Cemetery with Rev. Tony Grand officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Carol was born February 26, 1947 in Haskell, TX, to Velah (White) and M.S. Walker. She married Charlie Lewellen in Anson, TX. She thought the world of her little dog Oreo, and enjoyed watching western movies. She loved to sing silly songs, and spend time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal DeLaCruz and husband Joe of Abilene; son, Shane Lewellen of Abilene; two grandsons, Eric DeLaCruz and wife Shelbie, Jeremy DeLaCruz and wife Claudia both of Abilene; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Walker and wife Doris of Weinert; sister-in-law, Melva Walker of Valley View, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Velah and M.S. Walker; husband, Charlie Lewellen; and brother, Morris Walker.
