Carol Jean Timms was born November 30, 1939 in Phoenix, AZ to Emory and Jewel Johnson.
She went to her reward July 29, 2015.
Carol met the love of her life Kenneth "Butch" Timms at West Texas College in Canyon, TX in the fall of 1958. They married March 28, 1959.
Carol had many talents; she loved teaching Bible Class, oil painting and golfing. She played the drums and the piano and had a beautiful singing voice; some of her favorite times were sitting around the fire at the farm singing with her family, but her greatest talent was her love and care of her family, especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies.
Carol was a Christian who worshipped at the Church of Christ in Throckmorton, TX.
She is survived by her Husband of 56 years, one daughter; Vicki Kitching & Brantly, three sons; Allen Timms & Pam, Tim Timms & Kelly, and David Timms, four granddaughters, three grandsons, and three great grand children. Also surviving Carol are one sister; Joan Mason & Bob, two brothers; Phillip Johnson, Lynn Johnson & Beverly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Throckmorton Church of Christ. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
