Cathy Deanne Matthews, 54, of Haskell passed away early Monday morning, September 3, 2012 at Haskell Healthcare in Haskell. A memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Willow Cemetery.
Cathy Deanne Posey was born in Knox City on November 26, 1957 to Herman Lee and Mary Ermadee (Proffit) Posey. She was raised in Knox City and later moved to Haskell. Mrs. Matthews was a homemaker who loved to cook and enjoyed playing computer games. Her biggest joy was family and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Posey.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Shonda Lynn Stanneart and Tina Marie Matthews both of Rochester; a son, Shawn Michael Matthews of Arizona; 2 grandsons, Aaron Ramsey and Anthony Scifres; 1 granddaughter, Saphira Rush; sister, Charlene Snell of Arizona; 1 brother, Bobby Posey of Arizona; cousins, Johnny Wilson, William Wilson, Ricky Wilson, Timmy Wilson; and 2 very special friends, Doris Butler and Perry Wright.
