Charles Andress,73, a longtime resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Charles was born December 22, 1949 in Haskell, Texas to Myrl (Kirkland) and Vernay Andress. He married Laura (Sampson) on June 7, 1969 in Haskell, Texas. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. He loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed telling stories, joking and making others laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Andress of Haskell,Tx; two sons, Jeremy Andress of Haskell,Tx,  Joe Andress and wife Misti of Tye, Tx; daughter Jennifer Andress of Abilene, Tx; grandchildren, Adam Andress, Allie Andress, Abby Andress, Kylee Gaura, Jaxon Gaura, Jolee Andress; and mother, Myrl Andress.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vernay Andress.
