Charles W. "Rastus" Pack

Charles W. "Rastus" Pack, 88, a lifetime resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Knox City Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Schader officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned for Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6-7:00PM, at the funeral home, 210 Ave A, Knox City, TX.

Charles was born August 7, 1933 in Knox Co, TX to Ida (Hodges) Pack and Willis Pack. He worked as a plant superintendent at Occidental Petro Corp. for thirty two years, which took him to many different places. After retiring, he worked as an auctioneer. He was a Master Mason and a member of Orient Lodge # 905 in Knox City. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Knox City. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Charles was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He survived by his wife, Lula Bell Pack of Knox City; daughter, Pamela Pack of Lubbock; niece, Patti Lain Currie of Abilene; two nephews, Aaron Lewis and spouse Julie of Burkburnett, and Brandon Lewis of Knox City.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Willis Pack; and one sister, Dorothy Dykes.
