Cindy Leigh Walker

Cindy Leigh Walker passed away at the age of 62 on January 18th, 2024 in Weinert, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 2pm at The First Baptist Church of Weinert, TX., with Rev. Dan Bullock officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Cindy was born to parents Doris and Jerry Walker in Haskell, Texas in 1961. She grew up in Weinert, TX with brothers Jerry Don and Barry Walker and sister Deena Walker Hacker.

Cindy was devoted to her career as a nurse for several decades. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, music and adventure in the outdoors. She also wrote and enjoyed poetry. She loved the water and was happiest on the beach, near the ocean, on the Guadalupe river tubing with friends and family, or boating on the lake.

Cindy's passing was preceded by the passing of her father Jerry last December. She is survived by her mother Doris, sister Deena, brothers Jerry Don and Barry. She is also survived by son Rance Parrott and his wife Mimi, and son Justin Parrott and his wife Lauren. She was also grandmother to Abby and husband Daniel, Leah, Anthony and wife Kaitlyn, and Jeremiah. She was also great grandmother to Charlie, daughter of Anthony, and Sophia and Oliver, children of Abby's. She was also a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

She loved her family and loved spending time with us. We will all miss her beautiful smile and sweetness. She was a genuine loving and caring person.
