C.W. McKelvain, lifelong resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington on Friday, September 12, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at Willow Cemetery in Haskell with Rev. Jim McCurley officiating. Arrangement were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
C.W. was born August 25, 1929 in Haskell to Minnie (Norman) and Dudley McKelvin. C.W. was a retired self-employed heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his son, Garland McKelvin and his wife Kay of Arlington; daughter, Belinda Hodge and husband Harold also of Arlington; 2 sisters, Janice Hester of Euliss, Texas and Ruby Sanders and her husband Perry of Minden, Louisiana; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cliff, and Niki; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces, Michelle and Marina.
