Daisy (Rushin) Horan

Daisy Horan, 76 of Weinert, TX, passed away on March 6, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. She was born on July 8, 1942 to Ruby and William Rushin of Hamlin. She spent most of her life taking care of other people, and loved spending time with her children. She loved to cook, read, crochet, and garden. She was a member of the Weinert Foursquare church. She married Robert F. Horan III on November 30, 1973. They enjoyed a long 45 years of marriage together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and William Rushin; sister, Josie Rushin; brother, Joe D. Rushin; daughter, Shadella Foster; and son, David Boling.

She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Horan III of Weinert; son, Douglas Boling of Weinert; two daughters, Pennie Kaye of Haskell, and Christy Hawkins of Weinert; seven grandchildren, Savannah Powers of Quannah, AshleyFoster of Aspermont, Kandace Anderson of Gilmore, Brandon Boling of Arkansas, Shawnee Hill, Cheyanne Hill, and Dalton Kaye all of Weinert; and many more great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Daisy at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Weinert Foursquare Church with Rev. Rob Harrison officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.
