Daniel Lee Allen

Daniel Lee "Danny" Allen, 96, a resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Benjamin Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Schrader officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes Knox City.

Danny was born August 1, 1925, in Guymon, OK. to Josephine (Clark) and Henry Clay Allen. In 1945, he married Anne E. Barton in Liberal, KS. They were married for 76 years. He liked woodworking, and loved his crossword and word search puzzles. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Danny is survived by his wife, Anne Allen of Knox City; son, Tim Allen of Knox City; daughter, Vicki Stephens of Little Elm, TX, four grandchildren; Shelly Stephens, Lauralea Lundquist, Timothy Jered Allen and Todd Allen; and six great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Clark and Henry Clay Allen; brother, Charles Allen; and sister, Katherine "Katie" Bateman.
