Daniel Espinoza, 84, a longtime resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Abundant Life Church, Knox City with Pastor Bobby Acosta officiating. Burial will follow services at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Friday, July 30, 2021, at the funeral home, 210 Ave A, Knox City, TX.

Daniel was born May 10, 1937 in Weslaco, TX to Rebecca (Quintanilla) and Wenslado Espinoza. He loved music, playing dominos, and checkers. Daniel was always helping others even when he was in the nursing home, and he always had a smile on his face.

He is survived by his two sisters, Mary Vasquez of Knox City, Janie Moreno and husband Joe of Stamford; two brothers, Pete Espinoza of Knox City, Wesley Espinoza, Jr., and wife Ina of Knox City; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rebecca and Wenslado Espinoza, Sr.; two brothers, Alex Espinoza, Rudy Espinoza, Sr.; two sisters, Celia E. Zuniga, and Virginia E. Castillo.
