Danna Darline Dean, 73, former resident of Rule, Texas passed away in Elk City, Oklahoma, Easter Sunday morning, March 31, 2013. Danna's mother, Eunice McCaul Hunt, also passed away Easter Sunday in Ennis, Texas. Services will be held for Danna and her mother at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Rule with Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Rule Cemetery. Family visitation is planned for Friday evening, April 5, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Rule. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Danna Darline Crew was born in Rule, Texas to Marvin Haskell and Eunice Louise (McCaul) Crew on July 24, 1939. Danna graduated from Rule High School and continued her education in Denton, Texas. Ms. Dean was a homemaker, mother, and during her working career, worked at several retail operations and restaurants. She enjoyed playing games and crocheting and loved to gab.
She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Haskell Crew; mother, Eunice McCaul Hunt; infant son; and 3 infant siblings, Randy, Kathy, and Larry.
Danna will be missed by her daughter, Darla Holmes of Odessa, Texas; 2 sons, Doug Dean and Darin Dean both of Elk City, Oklahoma; 4 brothers, Hal Hunt, Nick Hunt, Marvin Crew, Ronnie Crew; 3 sisters, Dolly Wolf, Linn Carter, Sheila Murray; 5 grandchildren, Dayla, Brittany, Matthew, Danielle, Kayla; 6 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hayley, Jiraiya, Zaiden, Akelee, Conner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
