Darwin Lee Sizemore, Sr, recent resident of Knox City, Texas, passed away Sunday evening, April 19, 2015, at his home in Knox City, Texas at the age of 64. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Abundant Life Church in Knox City, Texas with Darwin Sizemore, Jr. and Patrick Sizemore officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Darwin was born June 29, 1950, in Seminole, Texas, to Haley Darwin Sizemore and Geraldine (Jones) Sizemore. His hometown was Denver City, Texas and moved to Knox City, Texas six years ago. On January 8, 1973, Darwin married Debbie Sizemore in Denver City, Texas. He loved hunting and attending gun shows.
He is preceded in death by his father, Haley Sizemore and his brother, Don Sizemore.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Sizemore; daughter, Shelley Stallings and her husband Donivan, Sr.; two sons, Darwin Sizemore, Jr. and his wife Reneé and Patrick Sizemore and wife Eryn; brother, Darrel Sizemore; sister, Donna Rockwall; his mother, Geraldine Johnson; 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Darwin's name to UMC Southwest Cancer Center, 602 Indiana Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415, (806) 775-8600 or American Cancer Society, 3402 N 1st St, Abilene, TX 79603, (325) 672-0994.
