David C. Nash, 77, a former resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Funeral Home Chapel, Throckmorton with Rev. Peter Parker officiating. Burial will follow services at Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton.
David was born April 22, 1940 in Throckmorton, to Louella Elizabeth (McCarson) and Orville "Cotton" Nash. He finished school in Elk City, OK and later graduated with a bachelors degree from Panhandle A&M. David married his first wife Robin (Moon) on April 20, 1962, and later married his wife Ruth (Miller) on October 27, 2015. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed camping and being with his beloved dog Bo. He lived all over but considered Throckmorton his home.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Nash of San Angelo; two daughters, Margaret Nedbalek of San Antonio, and Mollie Keller and husband Greg of Houston; son, Mark Nash of San Angelo; step-daughter, Debbie Farr of Trent; step-son, Gary Huddleston of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren. Yvonne Skaggs, Nicki Cunningham, Zachary Moncrief, Marlee Nash, J.W. Powell, Quintin Powell, and Kevin Huddleston; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louella and Orville Nash; and first wife, Loretta Robin (Moon) Nash.
