Milla Deen Lowery, 86, passed away in Dallas, Texas, September 8, 2017. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Haskell with Mr. Phillip Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery, Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017, at the Funeral Home, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell, Texas.

Deen was born on February 14, 1931 in Haskell County to E.A. "Shorty" and Lennie (Covey) Williams. She married Victor Lowery on September 5, 1948 in Haskell, Texas. She worked at Rice Springs Care Home and Cadenhead Rural Health Clinic as an LVN for over 40 years. She was a member of the Haskell Church of Christ most of her life before moving to Abilene in 2017 where she was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.

She is survived by her brother, Tony Williams of Haskell; son, Terry Lowery and wife Marilyn of Granbury; daughter, Beth Komorowski and husband Ted of Abilene; five grandchildren, Eric and Keith Lowery, Ryan and Chris Komorowski, and Victoria Schafer; five great-grandchildren, Cory, Kimberly and Carsten Lowery, Wyatt and John Luke Schafer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Lowery; parents, E.A. "Shorty" and Lennie Williams; sister, Alice Briscoe; and four brothers, Edwin, Carl, John, and Douglas Earl Williams.
