Delfino Aguilera, 83, a longtime resident of Rochester, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the First Baptist Church, Rochester with Bro. Basilio Andrada officiating. Burial will follow service at Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home, 200 S. Lincoln Ave., Rochester.
Delfino was born January 10, 1938 in Bee Co., Texas to Endileseo Aguilera and Maria (Cavassas). He liked fishing, dancing, wood crafting, fighting roosters, and collecting crafted roosters. Delfino especially loved spending time with his grandkids and telling them jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Aguilera of Haskell; 2 daughters, Mickie Aguilera of Rochester, Delia McPhail and husband David of Abilene; son, Delfino Eric Aguilera of Abilene; 8 grandchildren, Steven, Cassie, Stephanie, Kristi, Casey, Cassidy, Gus, and Kamrin; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Tony Aguilera of Rochester; 2 sisters, Rosa Garcia, Ramona Flores and husband Melton both of Rochester; son-in-law, Ben Bagley of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Endileseo and Maria Aguilera; daughter, Sandy Bagley; and nephew, Joey Aguilera.
