Dominga H. Rodriquez

Dominga H. Rodriquez, 93, a longtime resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Knox City Community Center with Rev. Gary Schnable officiating. Burial will follow services at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City. A visitation is planned from 6:00-8:00p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the funeral home, 210 Ave A., Knox City, TX.

Dominga was born February 14, 1926 in Fort McKavett, to Teofila (Deanda) and Pedro Hernandez. She married David Rodriquez on April 5, 1944 in San Angelo, TX. Dominga enjoyed working for the public, in her yard, and with her hands. She loved loving on her grandkids all in her own special way.

She is survived by her two sons, Connie Rodriquez and wife Helen of Seymour, and Joe Rodriquez and wife Imelda of Knox City; 6 daughters, Odelia Garcia and husband Manuel of Plainview, Stella Abila of Ranger, Janie Bradford and husband Dewayne of Carrolton, Sammie Offield and husband Eddie of Knox City, Vallia Magana and husband Albert, and Raquel Vasquez all of Knox City; special daughter, Shavonne Hernandez and husband Jeffery of Knox City; sister, Betty Ortiz and husband Valdo of Winters; two brothers, Jessie Hernandez and wife Maria of San Angelo, Snow Hernandez and wife Loretta of Haskell, OK; 52 grandchildren; 179 great grandchildren; 69 great-great grandchildren; several great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Teofila and Pedra Hernandez; husband, David Rodriquez; sister, Francisca Hernandez; 4 sons, Salvador Hernandez, Jessie, Roy, and Frankie Rodriquez; 3 step-sons, Manuel, Luis, and Alfredo Rodriquez; 3 brothers, Mike, Ralph, and Albert Hernandez; and 2 son-in-laws, Mario Abila, Sr., and Victor Vasquez, Jr.
