Doniece Neely

Doniece Neely, 83, of Throckmorton, Texas passed away Tuesday,  January 9, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the First Methodist Church of Throckmorton, with Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial will follow services at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton. A visitation is planned at the First Methodist Church in Throckmorton from 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024, until service time.

She was born at her parents home in Elbert, Texas in 1940 to Elmer and Virginia Johnson. She served as choir director for many years. She enjoyed quilting and knitting.

Doniece was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Juanell Wright Ware and her husband Bob.

She is survived by her sons, Rob Neely and wife Debi of Throckmorton, Marcus Neely and wife Shelli of Van Alstyne; 2 granddaughters, Whitney Hague and husband Mike, Nicole Neely and husband Clint Gilbert; 2 grandsons, Cooper Neely and fiancé David Maschmeier, and Will Neely and wife McKensie; nephews, Stuart and Jeff Wright.
