Doris Adelheid Enloe

Doris A. Enloe, 71, of Haskell, Texas went to meet her maker on September 19, 2012 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Haskell with Rev. Dave Harrison and Rev. Jim McCurley officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Doris was born on May 24, 1941 to Martin and Elizabeth Lennartz in Germany. She married Oren Perry Barber, Jr. and the couple moved to the United States where Doris learned to speak English and became a United States citizen. Oren preceded her in death in July of 1987. She then married Jesse Doyle Enloe, Jr. on September 3, 1988 and resided in California. Doris made Haskell her home in 2010 and was the assistant manager at Dollar General. She was a strong willed lady with a heart of gold and a face of an angel.

She was met in heaven by her 2 daughters, Linda and Elizabeth; her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Lennartz; and husband, Jesse Enloe.

Doris is survived by her son Dan Barber of Arizona; daughter Amy Dyer of Haskell; grandchildren, Cristine, Jonathan, Joshua, Oren, Emily, Samuel; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob, Justin, and Ozzie.

Doris will be dearly missed by all that loved her and will be in their hearts forever.
