Dorothy C. Berryman, 102, of O'Brien, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Kyle, Texas. A graveside service will be held at the O'Brien City Cemetery on Saturday, February 11, at 1:00PM, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes in Knox City. A visitation will be held at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Knox City, 210 Ave. A, Knox City, Texas from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, on Saturday before the service.

Dorothy was born in Megargel, Texas, on August 4, 1920, to Thomas Walter Shelley and Clara Mae Blankenship. After High School she became a hairdresser, after getting married to her husband Robert Berryman, on July 6, 1941, she become a full-time housewife. She devoted her life to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She cooked 3 meals a day, making the best hot rolls and chocolate pie. As Mom grew older and her children grew up she became an avid crocheter. She was a member of the Church of Christ in O'Brien.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Alonzo Berryman; sisters, Robbie Lois Keesee and Tommie Mae Skinner; son-in-law, Billy Sherrell Skidmore; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Leslie Berryman.

She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Carolyn Skidmore and son, James Robert Berryman; grandchild, Sherry and Dennis Dykes, Brenda Darlene and Randy Funderburk, Stephane Ann and Victor Torres, Billy Sherrell Jr. and Lisa Renee Skidmore, James Brian (Jim) Berryman, Bobby James and Chanda Layne Berryman, and JJ Thompson; great-grandchildren, Gary Wayne Dykes, Lindsey Beall, Kasi Jenkins, Sam Funderburk, Alejandro Torres, Mikaela Renee and Cory Camacho, Mason Robert Skidmore, Jolie Renee Skidmore, Natatlie Dale Berryman, Matthew Ian Berryman, Brayden James Berryman, Bailey Lauren and Garrett Hauer, Chloe Rachel Berryman, Delaynee Mae Berryman, Annamarie Cathrine Berryman, Elizabeth Jewel Berryman, Boss Brian Berryman, and Bryndle Reese Denbow; great-great-grandchildren, Chandler William Scott McPeak, Piper Camacho, Sage Dykes, Isaia Dykes, and Palmer Saige Hauer, and many other family members.

Family will gather and fellowship at Isabella's Cafe, 121 N Central Ave. in Knox City, following the service.
