Douglas R. Nash, Sr.

Douglas R. Nash, Sr., 83, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Throckmorton cemetery, with Rev. C.J. Frazier officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton.

Douglas was born October 14, 1936, in Ft. Davis, Texas, to Martha (Newton) and Mont Nash. He was drafted to the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Peace Era in the 60's. He married Margaret (Jennings) on March 10, 1967 in Graham, TX. Douglas enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and collecting football cards. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Nash of Throckmorton; two sons, Doug Ray Nash, Jr. of Throckmorton, Michael Nash and wife Kandace of Olney; and three grandsons, Seth Michael Nash, Crayton Elic Nash, and Easton James Nash all of Olney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mont and Martha Nash; and baby sister.
