Edith Irene Clawson Reed

Edith Irene Reed was called home to our Lord on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the age of 85.

Irene was born on September 23, 1939 in Comanche, Texas and married E.O. Reed on September 8, 1956 in Brownwood, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Benjamin, Texas and touched the lives of many she met and loved.

Irene is survived by two daughters, Teresa Kuehler and Laura McCanlies both of Benjamin; two sons, Donny Reed of Seymour and Gary Reed of Benjamin; one brother, Bobby Clawson of Coleman; two sisters, Tammy Jones of Dublin and Brenda Atchley of Dallas, as well as six grand children and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the Gilliland Cemetery, with Reverend Joe Walton officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Homes of Knox City.
