Edward Delane Roberson, 38, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Foursquare Church in Knox City, Texas with Rev. Gary Schnable and Bro. Rick Moeller officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Edward was born on September 12, 1977 in Knox City, Texas to Jeffrey and Adina (Watson) Roberson. He graduated from Knox City High School in 1997 and raised show
pigs. He enjoyed barbecuing and listening to gospel and country music.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Roberson; two brothers, Joey Roberson and Dewayne Roberson; and two sisters, Jessica Roberson and Shirley Roberson; grandmother; grandfather; three aunts; and two uncles.
Edward is survived by his mother, Adina Watson Roberson of Knox City, Texas; three sisters, Von Roberson of Abilene, Texas, Rosie Hodges of Houston, Texas, Doris Roberson and Hazel Roberson both from Bryant, Texas; four brothers, Roy Dale Roberson, Jefrie Roberson, Jr. of Caldwell, Texas, Early Ray Roberson, and Clyde Roberson of Austin, Texas; two nieces, Laquita Roberson and Cheynenne Roberson both from Knox City, Texas, one nephew, Jaylon Roberson of Knox City, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
