Erlinda "Linda" Espinosa of Knox City passed away Monday evening, June 11, 2012. She was 56. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14 at the First Baptist Church in Knox City with Rev. Jerry Vincent and Rev. Gayle Baucum officiating. Interment will follow at the Knox City Cemetery in Knox City under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Erlinda Sarabia was born at home March 9, 1956 in Judd, Texas to Ramon and Tomacita (Dauna) Sarabia. She married Wesley Q. Espinosa on January 29, 1982 and has lived most of her life in Knox City. Linda was the caretaker at the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ramon Sarabia; her mother, Tomacita Dauna Sarabia; and a granddaughter, Addison Baylie Abila.
Linda is survived by her husband, Wesley Espinosa of Knox City; daughter, Amanda Espinosa Abila of Knox City; son, Wesley Espinosa, III and wife Lisa of Abilene; 3 granddaughters, Alexis Espinosa of Abilene, Abbey Abila and Avery Abila of Knox City; 1 grandson, Uriah Espinosa of Abilene; and her sister, Ramona Sarabia of Rochester.
Pallbearers will be Jose Garcia, Efrain Rodriquez, Cody Brockett, Kylin DeValle, Mateo Martinez, and Adrain Soto.
