Ernestina (Carrion) Trevino, 84, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at her residence in Haskell, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016 at Rochester Cemetery with Deacon Julian Estrada officiating. A Rosary is planned for Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home located at 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell, Texas. A meal will be provided after service on Friday at the Catholic Church in Haskell, Texas.
Ernestina was born February 6, 1931 in Beeville, Texas. She married Eugenio Trevino in Haskell, Texas in of May 1952 and was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She loved to fish with a rope, making quilts, hang out with friends and driving in the country.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Estella Deleon; husband, Eugenio Trevino; one brother, Ignacio Ortiz; and sister, Guadalupe Guiterrez.
Ernestina is survived by her three daughters, Mariana Novoa and husband Raymond of Haskell, Texas, Delores Trevino of Haskell, Texas and Yessica Trevino of Visalia, California; four sons, Eugenio Trevino and wife Yolanda of Wooklake, California, Felix Trevino of Haskell, Texas, Jimmy Trevino and wife Debra of Powderly, Texas and Joe Trevino and Marcial of Visalia, California; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
