Eunice Mccaul Hunt

August 19, 1920 — March 31, 2013

Eunice McCaul Hunt, 92, lifelong resident of Rule, Texas passed away on the evening of Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Ennis Regional Hospital in Ennis, Texas. Her eldest child, Danna Dean, also passed away on the morning of Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Oklahoma. Funeral services for Mrs. Hunt and her daughter, Danna, will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Rule with Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Rule Cemetery. Family visitation is planned for Friday evening, April 5, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Rule. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Eunice Louise McCaul was one of four daughters born to Robert R. and Nannie McCaul on August 19, 1920 in Rule, Texas. Eunice attended schools in Rule and graduated from Rule High School in 1938. She married Festus Hunt in Fort Worth, Texas on February 20, 1943 and they were married 56 years until his death in December of 2000. Together, they had five children. Eunice was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hunt enjoyed playing bridge and dominoes with friends and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Along with her daughter Danna and husband Festus, Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nannie McCaul; 3 infant children, Randy, Kathy and Larry Mac; 3 sisters, Opal Simpson, Clarabelle McCain, and Mavis Williamson.

She is survived by 2 sons and their families, F. Hal Hunt and his son, Ryan of Lufkin, Texas, and Nick Hunt and wife Lea and their daughters, Kalea, Codi, and Kyndall of Waxahachie, Texas; and Danna's daughter, Darla Holmes of Odessa, Texas; 7 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
