Florene Davis Somerville

Florene Davis Somerville, 97, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the House of Hope in Wichita Falls, Texas. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Church of Christ in Throckmorton, Texas with a private burial prior to the service. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Florene was born October 8, 1918, to A.B. Gober and Essie (Darmon) Gober in Throckmorton, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Throckmorton, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Essie Gober; first husband, Fred Hugh Davis in September of 1943; second husband, Joe Somerville in 1999; two sisters; seven brothers and one great-grandson.

Florene is survived by two sons, Bobby Joe Davis and wife Margaret of Abilene, Texas and Billy Don Davis and wife Doris of Throckmorton, Texas; daughter, Jill Davis Davis of Seymour, Texas; nine grandchildren, Dirk Davis and wife Pam, Bret Davis, Jennifer Henricks and husband Billy, Kathryn Holland and husband Brennan, Angela Barrington and husband Terry Don, Jed Davis and wife Greta, Don Davis and wife Stefani, Danny Davis and wife Linda, and Dave Davis and wife Cristy; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Bobby Gober or Olney, Texas.
