Garry Don Herod

Garry Don Herod, 65, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021. A visitation will be held from 3:30-5:30PM, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Smith Family Funeral Homes, 107 N. Austin, Throckmorton.

Garry was born on May 28, 1955 in Bridgeport, TX to Reba Lorane (Coursecy) and Delbert Joe Herod. He married Eva (Johnson) on March 10, 1975 in Breckenridge. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Herod of Throckmorton; daughter, Erica of Seminole; two sons, Eric Herod of Throckmorton, Joe Don Herod of Colorado; sister, Jo Etta Cowley of Olney; aunt, Sue Shuemate of Seminole; 3 nephews, David Lee Sefcik, Gary Wayne Sefcik, and Brandon Joe Sefcik.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Reba Herod.
